About
Originally from Salem, Oregon, cellist Sophie Paul is an avid chamber musician and advocate of new music. She completed her Bachelor of Music at the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington and is currently based in Boston, where she performs with the Beacon Ensemble and the Apollo Ensemble of Boston.
She is currently working towards her Master of Music degree at the Boston Conservatory under Professor Rhonda Rider, where she serves as the cellist of the Honors String Quartet. She has held fellowships with organizations including the Bach Institute at Emmanuel Music, Music from Salem Chamber Music Festival, and the Harvard Chamber Music Festival.
