About

Andrew To started playing violin when he was seven years old. At age fifteen, he won the Junior Division of the Violin Solo Competition at the Hong Kong Music Festival. He then immigrated to the United States and studied under Albert Markov at the Manhattan School of Music Preparatory Division. In addition to Apollo, Andrew plays at the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra Book Club, and as the co-concertmaster at the MetroWest Symphony Orchestra.

In addition to playing music, Andrew is a commercial real estate developer and a registered architect with a fine arts degree. He was a faculty at the Rhode Island School of Design and the Boston Architectural College for almost ten years. Since his retirement from teaching, Andrew has been an active scholarship fundraiser to aid design and arts students.
