Tim Chen
About
Tim Chen began learning viola at age 6 after seeing his first live symphony concert. He continued his education at the New England Conservatory Preparatory School where he was an avid participant in their chamber groups and summer orchestra. He was also a member of their Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom he toured internationally in 2015. An active member of several Boston youth orchestras, he carried on his viola studies at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, where he played in the chamber program along with the UMass Symphony Orchestra and the All University Orchestra.
Tim has been a member of the Apollo Ensemble since 2023, and is excited for their thrilling lineup of concerts. He is currently pursuing his J.D.
