Stephanie Doong, violin, plays in several Boston area orchestras. Stephanie grew up in Illinois and studied violin with Larisa Zhizhin (Music Institute of Chicago). Inspired by her early orchestral experiences with Midwest Young Artists and the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at Interlochen, she continued to study violin at the undergraduate level with Robin Sharp (Stanford University). Since moving to Boston, Stephanie has served as concertmaster of the MIT Symphony Orchestra and has played in the Apollo Ensemble, as well as Mercury Orchestra, Du Bois Orchestra, Horizon Ensemble, and Orchestra Book Club. Also a vocalist, Stephanie has been a soprano in the Harvard Summer Chorus and the Grammy-nominated Pacific Edge Voices (Berkeley).

Stephanie holds a Ph.D in chemical engineering from MIT and is currently a scientist in the cell and gene therapy field.
