Hannah Hooven
About
Hannah Hooven is a Boston-based violist and music educator. Originally from Chicago, she moved to Boston to study music education at Boston University. She studied viola at BU with Hye Min Choi and Michelle LaCourse.
Hannah is in her fifth year as a Pre-K through 6th grade general music teacher in the Boston Public Schools. She is also a conductor at Boston Children’s Chorus, where she leads an elementary-level choir. She will begin her Master’s in Music Education at Gordon College in summer 2026.
Hannah has played with the Apollo Ensemble since 2023. Outside of teaching music, she enjoys yoga, hiking, and visiting farmer’s markets around Boston.
