We are thrilled to announce our first ever run-out community concert as part of our 2024-25 season. Reuben Stern, our exceptional Assistant Conductor, will lead Neighborhood Notes, conducting Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings and facilitating a meaningful dialogue between the musicians and the audience. This event will offer attendees a chance to chat, connect, and share the joy of music together.

Our 2024-25 season includes world premieres by Gala Flagello (Droughts and Downpours for String Orchestra) and Ebun Oguntola and the New England Premiere of Sam Wu’s Eagle Huntress. Soloists Keila Wakao and Leland Ko will return for performances of Barber and Dvorak respectively, and the winner of the Massachusetts Viola Society Competition will perform Bruch’s Romanze. Some of the greatest works of the standard repertoire including Tchaikovsky’s Serenade for Strings, Mozart’s Symphony No. 39, Brahms’ Symphony No. 3, Dvorak’s Symphony No. 7, and more fill out what will be our most ambitious season to date.
