Amaryn Olmeda Plays Mendelssohn
Saturday, May 8, 2027 • 7:30 PM – 9:30 PM
Don’t miss this thrilling program of orchestral masterworks with Apollo Ensemble of Boston!
First Prize winner of the 24th Sphinx Competition, violinist Amaryn Olmeda has already appeared as a soloist with many of America’s greatest orchestras, including The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Cleveland Orchestra, Buffalo Philharmonic, Charlotte Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Houston Symphony, Omaha Symphony, and Seattle Symphony. She returns to the Apollo Ensemble – after a sensational performance of the Miklós Rózsa Violin Concerto with the orchestra last January – to perform Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto, one of the most celebrated works in the repertoire. The program also features Beethoven’s stormy Coriolan Overture and Schumann’s triumphant Symphony No. 2.
