Don’t miss this thrilling program of orchestral masterworks with Apollo Ensemble of Boston!
20-year-old violinist Calvin Alexander has already appeared as a soloist with the Dallas Symphony, Louisiana Philharmonic, Korean Chamber Orchestra, Canton Symphony Orchestra, and Shreveport Symphony. A finalist at the 2025 Stulberg Competition, he has also won top prizes at the Tibor Varga Junior, Cooper, and YoungArts competitions. He joins Apollo to perform Bruch’s lush and joyous Violin Concerto on a concert that also features a world premiere by his Harvard classmate Ethan Chaves and Schumann’s jubilant Spring Symphony.
